This position assists the Maintenance Team in keeping all facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for members, guests, and ministry activities. The focus of this role is to help steward the church’s buildings and grounds, ensuring they remain a place of worship, fellowship, and service. This role includes supporting event set-ups and tear-downs, as well as helping to secure the church and ensure the safety of staff and congregants so that every gathering runs smoothly and honors God through order, care, and preparation.  Essential Functions

1. Maintain all visible areas of the facility to uphold the church’s commitment to excellence and hospitality. 

2. Support ministry and event logistics by setting up and tearing down furniture, equipment, and supplies as directed. 

3. Assist with moving and reconfiguring office furniture to meet ministry and staff needs. 

4. Ensure all rooms are ready to welcome guests and facilitate ministry gatherings that honor God.

• This role serves as part of the Operations team, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all who enter the church. Duties may include working with cleaning chemicals and maintenance equipment. The position requires physical activity such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods while following all safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and guests. On occasion, this role may respond to unexpected cleaning needs such as spills or illness-related incidents to ensure that all areas remain sanitary and presentable for ministry activities and guests. 

Preferred Qualifications Experience: 2 Years Relevant Experience Spiritual Development 

• Support and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve.  (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.). 

• Regularly attends worship and participates in ministry events at Christ Church or a Christ Church campus unless exempted by Christ Church leadership.  

• Seeks opportunities and participates in authentic worship, exalting and enjoying God as one of life’s greatest purposes and pleasures. 

• Lives as an attractive witness, living to draw others to Christ in personal, daily mission.

Physical Demands & Work Environment 

• Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds when needed to support church activities and events. 

• Comfortable bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and completing hands-on tasks that keep the building safe and ready for ministry. 

• Able to stay on your feet and active for extended periods while serving throughout the church.  

• Flexible and willing to adjust your schedule to help with church services, programs, and special events — ministry often happens outside normal hours. 

• Takes pride in keeping God’s house clean, organized, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the doors.
