Responsibilities:
E Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Able to set up, adjust (sizes and speeds) and troubleshoot packaging and production equipment such as (but not limited to):
- Coding machines – code wheels, ink jets, etc.
- Tape machines
- Check weighers - programming
- Bar code scanners – programming
- Stretch packers
- Glue systems
- Work with Production to coordinate timely line change-over.
- Manage time to anticipate production needs and eliminate down time.
- Complete paperwork required for line set-up: lock-out/tag-out, start-up inspection, check maintenance documentation, etc.
- Identify possible mechanical problems and report them to the Maintenance Lead.
- Perform preventative maintenance as required by company PM program.
- Adherence to all Company policies and procedures
- Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions
- Instills a sense of quality through modeled quality behaviors and mindset
- Elevates complaints and problems, seeks Management assistance
- Ensures proper PPE’s and Safety procedures are followed
Flexibly works other shifts, shifts maybe 8, 10 or 12 hours as needed
Qualifications:
K Knowledge & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine repairs, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
- Able to read technical documents.
- The ability to work independently, without supervision required
- Ability to organize priorities and workload required
