Our client is looking to add a Maintenance Scheduler to their team! Our client is an American Cast Iron Foundry carrying a long history of producing high-quality gray and ductile iron castings. They boast only a 2.5% turnover rate and the maintenance technician would have the consistent opportunity to earn 16 hours of overtime EVERY week.
The Maintenance Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing parts inventory, and maintaining accurate equipment records across three facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain parts inventory across three facilities, ensuring accurate records and availability of critical maintenance parts.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of equipment and associated parts using third-party maintenance management software.
- Identify and document equipment throughout the facilities and ensure equipment records remain accurate and up to date.
- Track equipment breakdowns, maintenance history, and root causes of recurring issues.
- Develop, schedule, and assign preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for equipment.
- Monitor PM completion and maintain accurate documentation of completed maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel and other departments to ensure scheduled maintenance is completed efficiently and on time.
- Review equipment and maintenance needs in the plants and help determine the appropriate parts, resources, and repairs required.
- Conduct physical inventory and equipment identification throughout the facilities.
- Help maintain an organized and accurate maintenance/parts management system across all three locations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance processes, and common mechanical/electrical repairs.
- Experience with CMMS or other maintenance management/database software preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple facilities, maintenance schedules, and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with inventory, databases, and computer systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance and operations personnel.
- Must be comfortable walking through manufacturing/industrial facilities and physically inspecting equipment and parts.
- Ability to understand maintenance issues and the general scope of repairs without necessarily performing the repair.
