Maintenance Repair Technician II
Location: Warwick, RI
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Repair Technician II to support the maintenance and reliability of automated material handling systems and complex mechanical and electrical equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with industrial automation systems in a high-volume operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated material handling equipment and conveyor systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot motors, controls, sensors, PLC-driven systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Complete maintenance records and documentation within a CMMS platform.
- Support equipment reliability initiatives and operational uptime goals.
- Operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass background and security requirements.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience with 480V electrical systems and 3-phase motors.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- CMMS experience.
- Automated material handling or conveyor system experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
