Maintenance Repair Technician I

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated material handling equipment and conveyor systems in a fast-paced operational environment. Location: Warwick, RIPay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated material handling equipment and conveyor systems in a fast-paced operational environment. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals with experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or facilities operations.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment and conveyor systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond to equipment issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Document maintenance activities and repair work within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Operate company vehicles and material handling equipment as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass background and security requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated conveyor systems.
• Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience with 480V electrical systems and 3-phase motors.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
