Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC)- 2nd shift. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility with core hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $40.51/hour + $1.50/hour shift premium per hour.
What you'll do:
Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations.
Need a basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode)
Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.
Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
Perform electrical test operations.
Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures.
Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
Use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.

2-year degree in electronics or electrical technology or experiential equivalent
5 years of experience in NC and CNC repair
Industrial mechanical background
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of PLC experience in troubleshooting
Journeyman certification or educational equivalent
Additional educational or vocational training is a plus but not required
