Maintenance Reliability Supervisor — Food Production

Step into a role where each shift centers on safe, efficient, and reliable operations. As the Maintenance Reliability Supervisor, you guide a team of maintenance technicians in a manufacturing/food production plant, partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Safety, Sanitation, and plant leadership to keep equipment performing and production on target.

    A day in the life

Your day begins with a quick huddle. You set priorities in the CMMS, assign work orders, and align the team on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. When a critical asset goes down, you jump in to troubleshoot—mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or automation—restoring service quickly while enforcing lockout/tagout and GMPs. You monitor safe work practices, verify sanitation standards, and coach techs in best-in-class maintenance methods.

Mid-shift, you review spare parts needs, coordinate contractors, and update leaders on equipment status and planned downtime. You capture accurate maintenance records, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat failures. You plan coverage, approve overtime when needed, and stand ready for emergency repairs.

As production winds down, you lead a brief safety talk, document learnings, and support ongoing upgrades, installations, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives—always driving toward higher reliability and less unplanned downtime.
