    Description

    Pro Services is partnering with a valued customer on a direct-hire search for a Maintenance & Reliability Operations Manager. If you lead with safety, think in systems, and love the blend of hands-on troubleshooting and strategic planning, this role puts you at the center of plant performance.

    A day in this role

    You start with a safety walk, checking critical assets and reinforcing safe work practices with the team. A quick stand-up with technicians follows—reviewing overnight work orders in the CMMS, setting priorities, and aligning on parts availability. You coordinate with production to lock in downtime windows for preventative tasks, then pivot to supplier calls and contractor oversight for an in-flight capital project. After lunch, you finalize budget updates, coach a kaizen team driving a reliability improvement, and document a procedure update to align with QMS.     What you’ll own

    • Championing a zero-incident culture and making safety a visible, daily priority.
    • Partnering with leadership and field experts to tackle issues across safety, maintenance, production, quality, and delivery.
    • Directing day-to-day activities for maintenance technicians and the shop to keep production assets performing at their best.
    • Applying broad mechanical know-how—electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and piping—to boost reliability and throughput.
    • Owning maintenance budgeting, forecasting, and spend oversight for smart resource allocation.
    • Building productive relationships with suppliers and vendors to support uptime and project goals.
    • Leading engineering and capital projects end-to-end: scope and budget creation, contractor management, and on-time delivery.
    • Driving continuous improvement (kaizens) to elevate processes and performance.
    • Using the plant CMMS to create, assign, schedule, and track work orders with discipline.
    • Strengthening a robust preventative maintenance strategy to reduce reactive work and maximize uptime.
    • Coordinating with production to plan and execute scheduled downtime for PM activities.
    • Designing and rolling out a comprehensive mechanical integrity program.
    • Authoring procedures that align with QMS requirements and ensure compliance.
    • Owning Management of Change (MOC) processes from initiation through execution.
    • Providing hands-on technical support for troubleshooting and repair to cut downtime.

    Qualifications

    • Required: At least 3 years of leadership experience within an industrial maintenance environment.
    • Preferred: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
    • Preferred: Proficiency with SAP ERP and MVPOne CMMS.
    • Preferred: Exposure to the chemical industry and batch processing technologies.
