Description

This role is pivotal in maintaining optimal operational performance by enhancing the reliability of plant equipment through strategic analysis and implementation of effective reliability methods. The position involves leading efforts in identifying inefficiencies, facilitating solutions through regular reviews, and fostering a robust culture of reliability.

The individual in this position will spearhead efforts in developing and overseeing mechanical integrity initiatives aimed at safeguarding plant efficiency and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver expert advice and support for ongoing maintenance operations to bolster plant reliability.
- Evaluate performance metrics, pinpoint underperforming equipment, and devise corrective measures.
- Design and manage preventive maintenance programs and mechanical integrity systems.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis sessions and spearhead reliability advancement projects.
- Monitor and evaluate key metrics like Mean Time Between Repair to guide performance enhancements.
- Oversee compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9000 and prioritize safety through the company’s 20 Principles Safety Program.
- Engage in Process Hazard Analysis, Incident Investigations, and Management of Change discussions.
- Ensure thorough and timely completion of scheduled maintenance through rigorous site inspections.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve seamless plant operations.
- Manage capital projects up to $150K, contributing to overall cost-efficiency strategies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in the chemical manufacturing sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of process equipment including pumps, compressors, and relief systems.
- Proficiency in applying reliability techniques and maintaining mechanical integrity.
- Competence in data analysis, problem-solving, and implementation of cost-effective solutions.
- Familiarity with SAP and maintenance management systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and problem-solving capabilities.
