Job Summary
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and ongoing maintenance for plant equipment, buildings, and facilities. The role coordinates maintenance requests, prioritizes work, assigns jobs to skilled trades personnel, supports parts and materials procurement, and helps improve equipment uptime and maintenance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and schedule preventive and ongoing maintenance for plant equipment, buildings, and facilities.
· Receive, prioritize, and assign maintenance requests to non-skilled, semi-skilled, and skilled maintenance personnel.
· Coordinate work for trades such as mechanics, toolmakers, pipe fitters, tool grinders, and machine hands.
· Provide technical support to skilled trades by: Obtaining drawings and technical documentation, Reviewing appropriate procedures, Identifying required parts, equipment, and tools.
· Identify suppliers, obtain quotes, and issue purchase orders for repair parts, spare parts, materials, and services.
· Provide daily work direction to maintenance personnel and provide supervision in the supervisor’s absence when required.
· Generate maintenance and operational reports.
· Track crib and self-help inventory and usage to maintain appropriate stock levels and support cost-reduction efforts.
· Coordinate the creation and updating of preventive maintenance reports to improve machine uptime.
· Support compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards.
· Participate in engineering services projects supporting the maintenance and operation of plant facilities and equipment.

Work Environment
· Fully onsite – no remote option.
· Shop-floor/manufacturing environment.
· Approximately 80% of the time spent on your feet within the factory.
· Candidates must be comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment.
· Business casual dress code.
· Metatarsal safety boots required on the first day.
· Interview preference: Microsoft Teams.
· Periodic off-shift work and overtime may be required based on projects and operational needs.
