**POSITION SUMMARY:
**
The core responsibility of the Maintenance Planner role is to prioritize, plan, schedule, and oversee the successful completion of both requested and preventative maintenance work orders. In this capacity, the position involves guiding the daily activities of maintenance technicians, collaborating closely with the maintenance manager for larger-scale repairs and projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:¨NBSP;

Other duties may be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based on client needs.
Plan, schedule, audit and document all maintenance work orders per production schedule while staying in compliance with OSHA, SQF and regulatory standards.
Responsible for workforce planning and execution of all orders and quality standards of team.
Manage inventory and costs, according to budget, to maximize production uptime.
Collaborate with maintenance manager when bringing in an outside contractor for work orders.
Lead, train and mentor mechanics in reference to assigned tasks and equipment to meet Jackson’s standards.
Lead structural repairs to the physical plant, and the repair of mechanical, electrical and all machinery and equipment.
Assists maintenance technicians in the diagnosis, repair, and calibration of machinery and production equipment.
Supervises the dismantling, assembling, and installing of machinery and production equipment.
In collaboration with the Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisor, effectively manage the preventive maintenance work backlogs ensuring work is properly prioritized and progresses efficiently so that work remains current and not deferred.
Responsible for job role and understanding the impacts across all functions of operations and actively communicates issues as they arise.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
**
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
Two to four years related industrial maintenance experience and/or training;
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have an acceptable driving record according to Jackson’s Insurance Policy
.
Must have two years of Maintenance Planning experience.
