    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a highly organized maintenance professional with experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities in a heavy industrial environment. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, CMMS proficiency, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to effectively coordinate maintenance, production, contractors, and resources to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.

    • Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for plant equipment.
    • Review work requests and determine required labor, materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Coordinate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to plan maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, environmental regulations, and maintenance best practices.
    • Create and manage work orders in the CMMS ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Utilize condition monitoring tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil sampling.
    • Assist in developing preventive maintenance (PM) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs.
    • Maintain and update asset records, maintenance histories, and spare parts data.
    • Work with maintenance supervisors to prioritize work orders and allocate resources.
    • Ensure maintenance planning aligns with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
    • Track and analyze KPIs related to maintenance efficiency, downtime, and cost performance.
    • Participate in shutdown and turnaround planning.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
    • This is a safety-sensitive position requiring compliance with all company safety policies, MSHA/OSHA regulations, and applicable drug and alcohol testing requirements.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • 5+ years of journey-level experience in a mechanical or electrical trade within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
    • Minimum 2 years of maintenance planning, scheduling, lead-hand, or supervisory experience.
    • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as Oracle, SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent.
    • Ability to interpret technical manuals, P&IDs, equipment drawings, and blueprints.
    • Experience estimating labor, materials, equipment, and contractor requirements for maintenance activities.
    • Experience planning and coordinating plant outages, turnarounds, contractor work, and specialized services.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across maintenance and operations teams.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, reliability principles, and equipment asset management.

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
    • 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a related maintenance leadership role in a heavy industrial environment.
    • Experience developing preventive maintenance programs and managing maintenance backlogs.
    • Familiarity with maintenance KPIs, reliability-centered maintenance, and continuous improvement practices preferred.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize, schedule, and coordinate multiple maintenance activities and projects.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, maintenance reporting tools, and CMMS software.
    • Ability to analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment

    • Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments.
    • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and field inspections throughout the facility.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
    • Ability to work safely in environments with dust, noise, temperature extremes, and operating mobile equipment.
