The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability and uptime by planning, coordinating, and scheduling preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. This role serves as a central point of contact between production, maintenance teams, and support functions to ensure all planned downtime activities are executed safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact to operations.
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling of activities
Create and audit PMs and PdMs to maximize equipment reliability and reduce waste
Participate in bi-weekly planning meetings to align upcoming work and resolve conflicts
Ensure all job plans and activities include required safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, Arc Flash, etc.)
Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to maintain work plan visibility and status updates
Break down work orders into executable tasks, including estimated labor hours, tools, safety requirements, materials, and sequence of operations
Partner with reliability engineers and supervisors to analyze downtime and identify failure patterns
3+ years of experience in maintenance planning or high-volume manufacturing environments.
Technical familiarity with equipment such as precision motion systems, pneumatic systems, vision systems, servo motors, and PLC-based automation (Allen Bradley preferred)
Working knowledge of safety practices and standards (LOTO, NFPA70E, 5S, etc.)
Strong understanding of maintenance best practices: PMs, PdMs, TPM, backlog management, and reliability-centered maintenance
Proficient with CMMS software, MES, inventory systems, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
