    Description

    Shin-Etsu Silicones of America is rercuiting a Maintenance Planner.  This position is responsible for maintaining the site CMMS equipment information, inventory levels, and inventory organization. This person will also serves as the back-up to the Maintenance Supervisor and the coordinator for work with outside contractors

    • Serve as back-up for Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Creation of PMs for new and existing equipment.
    • Management of MPulse system:
      • Enter and update machine information
      • Enter estimated labor hours, tools, resources, parts, etc.
      • Audit and verify work order information is accurate
    • Order material and parts for work orders:
      • Enter purchase requisitions to generate POs
      • Track delivery of parts and notify technicians of part arrivals for time sensitive work
    • Serve as the Point of Contact for Outside Contractors on arrival to site – Default to supervisor for detailed technical discussions if outside of routine work.
    • Maintain all spare parts inventory and equipment, and ensure proper storage conditions.
    • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices on site.
    • Create procedural manuals that explain how to complete certain tasks, specialty jobs and repeat tasks in the PM work order.
    • Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management.
    • Coordinate with maintenance supervisor, technicians, contractors, and external vendors.
    • Analysis of equipment failures and adjustment of PM frequency as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

     

    Education & Experience: 

    • Experience with a CMMS and detailed equipment understanding is strongly preferred. Journeyman Certification is a plus. 
    • 5 years’ industrial maintenance experience required.
    • Working experience with hydraulics, fabrication/welding, pneumatics, pumps, electrical, mechanical repair, and HVAC required.

     

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
    • Possess strong organization and implementation skills.
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. This includes being proactive in your approach to all issues in order to identify or eliminate potential problem areas. 
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
    • The ability to take direction and to carry out instructions from the manager in an orderly and efficient manner.
    • Ability to work independently and in groups and be self-motivated in both settings.

     

    Work Environment: 

    • This position operates in a professional office environment and a variety of other settings including an indoor manufacturing facility and warehouse, maintenance shop, and outdoors.
    • The office role routinely uses standard office equipment.

     

    Physical Demands:  

    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking or sitting at a computer
    • Climb ladders, bend, work in confined spaces
    • Exposed to chemicals
    • Performs twisting, bending, stooping motions
    • Lifts up to 50lbs
