    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Parts Specialist to serve as the technical bridge between the Maintenance and Purchasing/Procurement departments. This position is responsible for sourcing maintenance parts, creating purchase requisitions, tracking orders, verifying deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and locate suppliers for maintenance spare parts, tools, consumables, and mechanical or electrical components.
    • Identify the correct parts and gather vendor quotes and technical specifications.
    • Create and submit Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to the Procurement Department for final Purchase Order (PO) processing.
    • Track requested parts, shipment statuses, lead times, and expected delivery dates.
    • Follow up regularly with buyers and external vendors to prevent delays.
    • Verify that received parts match the requested quantities and specifications.
    • Organize and store parts in the maintenance warehouse.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure parts can be easily located.
    • Serve as the primary point of communication between maintenance engineers, buyers, vendors, and other departments.
    • Identify and report inventory shortages or order discrepancies.
    • Follow all company safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.

    Requirements

    • At least two years of experience in maintenance planning, MRO expediting, inventory control, technical sourcing, or a related position within a manufacturing environment.
    • Understanding of industrial spare parts, tools, and consumables.
    • Experience creating purchase requisitions and tracking purchase orders.
    • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, storage, and warehouse inventory procedures.
    • Experience using SAP is required.
    • Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with maintenance, production, procurement, and warehouse teams.
    • English is required; Spanish is preferred.
