Hourly Non-Exempt Position

Responsibilities:
Perform tasks while ensuring Safety and Food Safety in accordance with SQF standards
Examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools.
Starts devices to test their performance.
May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.
Must comply with the work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested, and completing work orders per instructions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Basic algebra and geometry
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, handle, and reach with hands and arms.
