Job Description - Maintenance Mechanic
Our client is a manufacturing company seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanic with experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to support safe and reliable production operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery, including gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Safely operate lift trucks and cranes while following proper rigging procedures and established safety standards.
- Read technical manuals and repair documentation, diagnose equipment issues
Required Qualifications
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, follow technical documentation, and solve practical mechanical problems.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, communication skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret equipment blueprints.
- Experience operating lift trucks and cranes.
- Basic computer skills for accessing technical documentation and recording maintenance activities.
