Do you have experience maintaining complex building systems and enjoy solving technical challenges? Orlando Health is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to help ensure our facilities, equipment, and critical infrastructure operate safely and efficiently to support exceptional patient care.

 

 What You'll Do

As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, you will:

Perform corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, power generation, and medical gas systems

Inspect, calibrate, adjust, lubricate, repair, and replace equipment components as needed

Complete preventative maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently

Maintain maintenance records and ensure work complies with established standards and specifications

Assist with major equipment repairs, installations, and facility improvement projects

Support compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations

Coordinate and document fire and life safety inspections and procedures

Train and mentor engineers and general mechanics on equipment and maintenance practices

Promote teamwork and collaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Security departments

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

 

 What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or GED required

Five (5) years of maintenance mechanic experience in healthcare or a similar environment required

Trade or vocational school graduates may qualify with two (2) years of relevant experience

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems

Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of facility equipment

Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
