Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team on 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience in a food manufacturing environment and be committed to maintaining equipment reliability, food safety, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment.
- Utilize hands-on experience with:
- Single-phase and three-phase wiring
- AC/DC motor controls
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including wiring and programming
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
- Assist production supervisors during equipment malfunctions and production downtime.
- Follow all food safety, quality, and legal compliance requirements.
- Request and track parts needed for preventative maintenance (PM) and work orders (WO).
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections on logs and reports.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production and mechanical equipment according to company standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred
- 2-3 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Experience working with electrical systems and industrial controls.
- GMP and HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain company-provided certification).
- Sit-down and stand-up forklift certification.
- Boom lift and scissor lift certification.
