We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities to support a growing manufacturing operation in Sandston, VA. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining production equipment, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform emergency repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Complete preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine effective corrective actions.
- Repair or replace motors, controllers, switches, sensors, relays, contactors, and other electrical components.
- Repair or replace bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, shafts, rollers, and other mechanical components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Collaborate with production personnel to identify equipment issues and improve machine reliability.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and equipment repair records.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Communicate equipment concerns and repair recommendations with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial electrical systems, pneumatics, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues independently.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
- Ability to calibrate, test, and repair electronic control systems.
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment with electrical controls.
- Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems.
