HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the manufacturing industry!
Salary: $31-41/hr
Shift:
7 days 8 AM–4 PM, then 3 days off
7 days 12 AM–8 AM, then 2 days off
7 days 4 PM–12 AM, then 2 days off
Location: Shakopee, Minnesota
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving chains, belts, rollers, conveyors, palletizers, and inspection systems.
- Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, and machine tools.
- Perform skilled trade work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical installations.
- Service mechanized equipment, including hoists, elevators, mobile equipment, and hi-lifts.
- Install and maintain utility lines for gas, water, and air.
- Inspect, install, relocate, and repair motors, switch boxes, control devices, and power circuits.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on plant equipment and machinery.
- Support furnace operations by assisting with installation and adjustment of burners.
- Weld, braze, and fabricate metal structures like guardrails, catwalks, and platforms.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to diagnose and repair industrial systems and equipment
- Proficient with industrial tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Physically capable of performing hands-on maintenance tasks
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
Preferred:
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting skills
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and recordkeeping systems
