The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/ components.
This technician will be working on CNC controlled cutting and pressing equipment as well as robotics.The technician reports directly to the maintenance operations supervisor and must possess the ability to maintain relationships with production and vendors.Looking for well-trained industrial maintenance technicians experienced with PLC, Robotics, TwinCat and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and the capability to address day-to-day issuesThe ability to work with others and independently in a fast paced environment is crucialWillingness to further ones knowledge base and skillset in a growing company with specialized equipment is necessaryHaving the ability to follow procedural compliance and engineered procedures is necessary.Attention to detail is necessary.
This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.
Responsibilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key to this roleAttention to detailThe ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.Previous experience with PLCs to include effectively diagnosing analog and digital field components, along with input/output devices.Abasic understanding of electrical systems to include 600 volt and below including various control voltage.Working from ladders and lifts while wearing fall protection.Experience using various types of diagnostic tools and meters to include volt meters, amp meters, resistive measuring devices, meggers, data loggers, micrometers, calipers, test gauges, and temperature measuring devices.

Specific trade licensing e.g. Electrical, HVAC/refrigerationKnowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure.Past mechanical/electrical or hydraulic trade school or apprenticeship.Proven robotics experience (Panasonic, Sinumerik, Fanuc)CMMSVocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programsMilitary
