Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing)

Ability to climb stairs, perform some lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work at heights, bend, and kneel. Your duties will include: Installing and maintaining machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.

Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)
Hours:  6am - 2:30pm
Location:  Charlotte, NC

Job Responsibilities:

Join our dynamic team where you will be responsible for maintaining all equipment to required standards. You will be expected to respond to line calls and provide support for preventative and failure-based maintenance as needed by the plant. Your duties will include:

• Installing and maintaining machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Working within established safety standards and practices.
• Troubleshooting mechanical failures.
• Repairing and rebuilding pumps.
• Maintaining conveyors, auger systems, cables, and packaging equipment.
• Demonstrating a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Recommending changes, modifications, or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance.
• Reading equipment drawings and documents.
• Documenting work and modifications to equipment.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• VO Tech or Millwright training is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety standards.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within industrial maintenance.
• Experience with pumps and pump alignments, conveyors, safe rigging practices, hydraulics, cutting, grinding, and welding.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under time constraints.
• Regular, prompt attendance is required.
• Ability to climb stairs, perform some lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work at heights, bend, and kneel.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions.
