Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $32.00 - $35.00
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 3pm-11:30pm (2nd shift)

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of mixing and packaging lines by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and support equipment to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Maintain manual and semi-automatic systems used to process chemical products, including sealants, adhesives, primers, and intermediates.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mixing and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings as needed.
• Support production operations when required.
• Ensure compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with production management to achieve operational goals.
• Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience in a production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls.
• Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Basic knowledge of Windows applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
• Prior forklift certification is a plus.
• Electrical, plumbing/pipefitting, fabrication, and welding experience preferred.
• Ability to safely set up, carry, and lower ladders and climb stairs and ladders.
• No fear of heights.
• Adequate vision.
• Lifting of up to 74 pounds.
• Ability to crouch and kneel on job sites as required.
