Purpose of Position: The primary purpose of your job position is to maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.
Description
:
- Perform specific tasks and ensure maintenance schedules are followed according to respective shift schedules and daily work assignments
- Follow established safety policies and procedures to maintain department compliance at all times
- Wear/use safety equipment and supplies
- Ensure facility equipment is properly maintained, report all malfunctions to supervisor
- Inspect and test departments equipment on a scheduled basis
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information; and adhere to Resident's rights
- Attend and participate in annual facility in-services, training programs as scheduled. (e.g., OSHA, TB, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, Safety, etc.)
- Required to be on call and carry communication device, as directed, and report when needed within (20) minutes.
- Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects JML's commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.
Qualifications
:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a 12th grade education
- Three (3) yrs experience in trade/mechanical related work
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Able to maintain a patient, tactful, and cheerful disposition when dealing with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Schedule Details: 40 Hours Per Week, Monday-Friday, 8a-4p, Every Other Weekend & Occasional Holidays, Rotating on-call Monday-Friday, 4p-8am (following day) Rotating on-call weekends 24 hrs per day.
