Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled
Manufacturing/Maintenance Technician to provide technical support for manufacturing equipment and assembly-line operations. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, modifying, and improving production equipment to ensure reliable and efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing and assembly-line equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment repair calls and perform necessary corrective maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Use technical manuals, electrical/mechanical schematics, precision tools, and test equipment to diagnose equipment issues.
- Document equipment repairs, qualifications, upgrades, preventive maintenance activities, and parts usage in the maintenance database.
- Maintain backup equipment and ensure required spare parts are available at appropriate inventory levels.
- Support Industrial, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers with equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with equipment development engineers to identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements.
- Provide technical recommendations to improve equipment reliability, performance, and uptime.
- Assist with the construction and modification of manufacturing worktables and workstations.
- Provide necessary utilities and support for setting up equipment on manufacturing assembly lines.
- Modify existing assembly lines and workstations to support changing manufacturing requirements.
- Plan, organize, and execute assigned technical projects and maintenance activities.
- Independently troubleshoot complex technical problems and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Apply creativity, technical judgment, and initiative to develop effective solutions to equipment-related issues.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance processes, equipment performance, and work methods.
- Work in a regulated quality-system environment while maintaining compliance with applicable procedures and requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support equipment history, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of related manufacturing, maintenance, or technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of complex technical concepts and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work effectively.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a quality-system and regulated manufacturing environment.
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical/electrical aptitude, and experience supporting manufacturing or assembly-line equipment. The candidate should be comfortable working independently, responding to equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and recommending improvements to increase equipment uptime and reliability.
