Reno, NV area | Full-Time | $23.75 – $28.25/hour

The Opportunity

When the equipment stops, everything stops — which makes you the most important person in the building. Our client, a precision manufacturer supporting regulated industries, is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently. Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, hydraulics, basic electrical — if you like solving real mechanical problems with your hands and your head, this is steady, respected work.

Why You'll Love It

  • Varied, skilled work: PMs, diagnostics, rebuilds, and modifications — never the same day twice
  • Your expertise valued: They want a problem-solver, not a parts-swapper
  • Room to grow: Mechanic I is the entry point on a real maintenance career ladder
  • Stable industry: Regulated manufacturing means consistent demand

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement lasting fixes

  • Use precision measuring instruments and maintenance tools
  • Build, modify, and repair equipment to meet operational needs
  • Collaborate with the team on production and maintenance goals
  • Support continuous improvement in safety and efficiency

What You'll Bring

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical components
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Preventative maintenance program experience
  • Your own tools
  • Sharp problem-solving and attention to detail
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Preferred: forklift and/or crane certifications
