Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic I 

Location: Battle Creek, MI

· Mechanic Technician: Starting at $27.93/hour

· Mechanic Technician 2: Up to $35.05/hour

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Summary:

• Temp-to-hire positions primarily for second and third shifts after an initial training period on the first shift.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery focusing on pneumatics, hydraulics, and powertrains.
• Take Preventative Maintenance (PM) seriously and adapt to learning niche, dated equipment from the 1970s-80s.
• Operate a forklift and perform basic rigging tasks.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and powertrains (chains, gears).
• Ability to operate a forklift (company certification required).

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in a mill, paper company, or corrugated environment.
• Boiler experience is considered a bonus but not a prerequisite.
