    Description

    We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Maintenance team at the White Pine Operation. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of mobile equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will be crucial in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

    • Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.
    • Working knowledge of mobile equipment and mechanical systems.
    • Ability to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
    • Proficiency in hydraulic and electrical system diagnostics and repairs.
    • Welding skills, including cutting torches, stick welding, and mig welding.
    • Basic knowledge of A/C repair and maintenance.
    • Tire repair and mounting experience.
    • Strong safety awareness and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
    • Willingness and ability to work night shifts.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various mobile equipment, including forklifts, graders, loaders, skid steers, log loaders, pick-ups, and man lifts.
    • Diagnose and repair diesel, gasoline, and propane engines, transmissions, differentials, steering systems, and brake systems (hydraulic, air, and wet disc).
    • Fabricate and replace hydraulic hoses as needed.
    • Troubleshoot and repair 12v and 24v electrical systems.
    • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
    • Operate cutting torches, stick welders, and mig welders for equipment repairs.
    • Perform basic A/C repairs and maintenance.
    • Dismount, repair, and mount tires of various sizes.
    • Ensure all work is completed with a focus on safety, following established safety protocols.
    • Work night shifts as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
