We are a local, family-owned, OTC pharmaceutical manufacturing company with a reputation for retaining employees because we treat them like family. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the performance and reliability of our production and facility equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime, ensuring safety and compliance, and keeping our operations running smoothly.
Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on packaging and blending equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
Repair and rebuild equipment components to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
Assess machinery performance and identify root causes of equipment failures
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and tools
Support manufacturing with equipment changeovers
Execute preventive maintenance tasks on production and facility equipment to support efficiency and safety
Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and equipment performance
Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of critical components
Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, FDA, and company safety regulations
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all standard operating procedures
Assist with special projects and manufacturing initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of equipment issues
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Experience working in a GMP-regulated or pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentÂ
