    Salary: $110K - $125K + 10% Bonus

    About the Role

    We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a high-volume food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role will oversee a skilled union maintenance team while driving equipment reliability, automation, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives that support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead, coach, and develop a unionized maintenance team to support daily manufacturing operations and long-term equipment reliability
    • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS to maximize equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and overall operational efficiency
    • Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment, utility systems, HVAC equipment, boilers, and electrical distribution systems
    • Support and optimize plant automation systems, PLC controls, and manufacturing technology
    • Monitor maintenance KPIs, analyze equipment performance, and implement corrective actions to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
    • Partner with Engineering and Operations on capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and process optimization initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, food safety standards, GMPs, environmental requirements, and company policies
    • Develop maintenance procedures, planning strategies, and best practices that improve safety, productivity, and equipment performance
    • Manage maintenance scheduling, staffing, employee development, performance management, and training
    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the maintenance organization


    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical education preferred
    • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within food and beverage manufacturing; dairy manufacturing experience preferred
    • 3+ years of supervisory experience leading maintenance technicians
    • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, automation, and manufacturing systems
    • Experience with CMMS, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies
    • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment; Allen-Bradley PLC experience preferred
    • Knowledge of production equipment including fillers, blow molding equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred
    • Ammonia refrigeration, HTST pasteurization, fabrication, welding, or machining experience is a plus
    • Experience working in a union manufacturing environment preferred
    • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, GMPs, food safety requirements, and maintenance best practices
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management software
    • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and continuous improvement skills with a hands-on management style
