Maintenance Manager

AKA White House is hiring for a Maintenance Manager with 5+ years’ maintenance experience!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Function as an ambassador of the AKA culture and AKA brand standards to all team members, residents and vendor relationships and encourage all team members to do the same.
• Ensure effective communication, maintain a professional and harmonious working relationship between all departments within the property, throughout the AKA brand, other Korman Communities brands and the corporate office leadership team.
• Lead the maintenance team by providing structure, motivation, coaching, guidance and positive encouragement as necessary to ensure a premier level of service, professionalism, communication.
• Maintenance Coverage after hours - schedule/execute on-call rotation among maintenance team members to ensure someone is always available to handle service requests outside of normal business hours.
• Approach all encounters with residents and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Promote a safe, secure and healthy work environment.
• Maintain resident/guest privacy and confidentiality by protecting all personal information.
• Have intimate knowledge of surrounding area including but not limited to restaurants, retail, arts, cultural activities, etc.
• Familiar with emergency and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of maintenance experience.
• General maintenance skills (i.e. plumbing, electric, carpentry).
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays and on-call.
• Demonstrated strong guest service skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Be proactive, energetic, self-motivating and able to motivate others.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
