The Maintenance Manager directs all Engineering efforts to ensure plant Quality, Efficiency, Safety and Financial goals are met or exceeded as directed by Plant Manager.
Resource and Department management:
- Manage all Resources to ensure the operations meets production goals at budgeted cost.
- Maintain and Manage inventory to ensure most cost-effective equipment up time is maintained.
- Identify required spare parts and appropriate min and max levels for inventory.
- Maintain and manage contacts with outside vendors and contractors being main point of contact.
- Effectively report up budget attainment and contributing factors.
- Understand cost drivers within the budget and seek improvements in cost reduction.
- Develop Capital Projects to meet company goals and ensure reliability of plant operations.
- Manage both Capital and Non-Capital project to ensure project meet objectives on budget and on time.
- Develop and monitor KPIâs to ensure the department stays on track to meet plant goals.
- Develop and maintain accurate reporting to be presented to management team.
- Develop effective corrective actions to all down time and waste events.
- Improve the Preventive Maintenance processes within our PM software.
- Monitor and evaluate equipment to access effectiveness of PM program.
People and Organization:
- Build and manage a team including Supervisors, Leads, Clerks, and Technicians to achieve plant objectives.
- Provide and ensure effective leadership, performance management, and skills development for all department personnel.
- Ensure all personnel are adhering to company policies including food processing regulation and safety.
- Set and maintain clear expectations for department personnel.
- Maintain all necessary documentation to ensure department and plant maintains compliance
- Manage all safety activities for the department including but not limited to training, program development, machine specific LOTO, equipment evaluations, ext.
Requirements
Bachelorâs Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience with maintenance, as well as people management.
Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Effective problem-solving skills
PLC troubleshooting preferred
Familiarity with safety procedures for a vast variety of equipment and machines
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk through a manufacturing plant and sit at a desk for long periods of time. Must have good vision, hearing, etc. to perform duties effectively. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
