Great manufacturing operations depend on great maintenance leadership. We’re hiring an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a skilled team, improve equipment reliability, strengthen preventive maintenance, and keep production running safely and efficiently.
This role blends hands-on technical expertise with strong people leadership. You’ll develop technicians, manage PM programs, partner with Operations/Engineering, and build a maintenance culture focused on uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.
Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.
Build mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Coordinate internal/external technical training.
Hire and onboard new team members.
Manage staffing levels, labor costs, and performance expectations.
Maintain industrial equipment in safe, reliable condition.
Build and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
Coordinate PMs with Production and ensure technicians have parts, documentation, and direction.
Maintain accurate work orders, equipment records, and safety documentation.
Manage critical spare parts and inventory levels.
Work closely with Operations on equipment performance and maintenance priorities.
Participate in plant leadership meetings.
Identify reliability, safety, and cost‑improvement opportunities.
Support Engineering on capital projects and equipment upgrades.
Ensure maintenance activities meet OSHA, OEM, and company safety standards.
Support inspections, corrective actions, and facility maintenance.
Identify unsafe conditions and take action to resolve or escalate.
Purchase parts, components, and supplies.
Work with vendors to improve service and control costs.
Manage purchase orders and maintenance spending within budget.
Look for smarter ways to manage inventory and reduce downtime.
High school diploma or equivalent.
7+ years industrial maintenance experience.
2+ years maintenance leadership experience.
Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Strong problem‑solving and technical reasoning.
Ability to coach, teach, and develop others.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with any of the following is valuable:
Preventive maintenance systems / CMMS
PLC logic & industrial controls
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
CAD, E‑Plan
MIT Pro 7.0 or similar maintenance software
Industrial electrical & mechanical systems
