The Job at a Glance

As the Director of Outbound Distribution, you will go the extra mile to ensure we meet the demands of our expanding Fulfillment Center footprint. You will be a role model for our Core Values and will lead the establishment and evolution of systems, automation, people, and processes as the company’s growth continues. You will oversee all aspects of order processing including Picking, Packing, Assembly, and Loading Operations in addition to Freight Shipping.Additional responsibilities include the development and execution of a daily operating plan, ensuring fulfillment operations are run in an efficient manner and that quality, productivity and safety goals are met. You will be key in the development of operations managers and supervisors. You will work with Customer Service and Sales teams on both the daily execution of order fulfillment and special projects.

As the Facility & Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all aspects of maintenance and repairs at our distribution center. You will be responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities over a wide range of material handling and facility equipment to support safe and efficient operations. This role will require a mix of hands-on maintenance work and coordination with vendors to service and maintain our equipment. You will lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians.

A Typical Day

• You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on distribution center material handling systems and corrective maintenance on facility equipment
• You will correctly identify and resolve problems with facility and material handling equipment
• Support a safe work environment by addressing equipment related safety concerns
• Determine when outside contractor support is needed and coordinates repairs and maintenance work with 3rd parties
• Assists with forklift training and maintains OSHA required documentation
• You will build effective relationships with 3rd party vendors and work closely with Fulfillment Center leadership team to address operational maintenance and safety issues promptly
• Maintain preventive maintenance records
• Supervise and lead maintenance and facilities team

To Land This Opportunity

• You have 3 years of previous experience working with electrical, mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and able to troubleshoot issues
• You possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 8 hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products in combination at any given time
• You’ve mastered balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)

The annual salary range for this role is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, equipment, and geographical location. Encompass is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a bonus depending on the role.
