Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance operations, ensuring equipment, facilities, and systems are efficiently maintained, safe, and operational while managing staff, budgets, and preventive maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and evaluate technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards while providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, perform inspections, and oversee repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and automated systems.
- Track maintenance expenses, manage budgets, and ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, and materials through forecasting and inventory control.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, optimize workflows, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and costs.
- Liaise with external service providers for specialized maintenance tasks and equipment servicing.
- Respond promptly to equipment failures or facility emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor\'s or equivalent experience in industrial/food manufacturing preferred.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing and/or industrial maintenance leadership experience, including experience managing maintenance personnel.
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and audits required, including USDA, HACCP, OSHA, and related standards.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, as well as facility management and automated manufacturing processes.
- Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively across departments, and resolve conflicts.
- Capable of analyzing maintenance issues, prioritizing tasks, and implementing efficient solutions.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- P&L experience preferred.
