Heavy Steel / Metal Processing / Fabrication
Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager will lead all maintenance and reliability activities for a heavy steel manufacturing operation, including maintenance personnel, equipment uptime, preventive maintenance programs, safety, budgets, and capital projects. Previous experience in heavy steel, metals processing, or fabrication manufacturing is required.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a heavy steel manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience (Supervisor, Superintendent, or Manager).
- Direct experience supporting heavy steel processing, metal fabrication, coil processing, plate processing, tube mills, roll forming, structural steel, or similar operations.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, and VFDs.
- Experience managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Experience utilizing a CMMS for work orders, PM scheduling, asset management, and spare parts control.
- Proven track record improving equipment uptime, reliability, and maintenance KPIs.
- Experience managing maintenance technicians, contractors, budgets, and capital projects.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, LOTO, and industrial safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
