Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager (Engineering & Facilities)oversees the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of VictoGen’s facilities, utilities, and critical building systems. This role ensures infrastructure supports safe, compliant, and efficient operations, including cleanroom and controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Operations & Maintenance

• Manage daily operation and maintenance of facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
• Ensure facilities meet GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee cleanroom and controlled environment maintenance
• Respond to facilities issues, equipment failures, and emergency repairs

Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) program
• Track maintenance schedules, work orders, and service records
• Recommend improvements to reduce downtime

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Manage external service providers and vendors
• Coordinate inspections, repairs, and capital improvement projects

Compliance, Safety & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Maintain accurate SOPs, logs, and facilities documentation

Planning & Continuous Improvement

• Support facility expansions, renovations, and equipment installations
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align facilities strategy with business goals

Required Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma (or equivalent with some college or trade school coarse work experience)
• Experience: Minimum 10 or more years of progressive maintenance or maintenance management experience
• • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in maintenance management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
• Experience: 10 years’ experience and  2 or more years’ experience in biotech, pharma, or regulated manufacturing environments
• • Familiarity with GMP, EHS, and audit readiness
  • Experience with facilities planning in a startup/high-growth company

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance, as appropriate.
• Ability to work in office, manufacturing, warehouse, and/or controlled environments.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and operational areas.
