Maintenance Manager - Direct Hire - Piedmont, SC

Client in Piedmont, SC is in the market for a Maintenance Manager – DIRECT HIRE

Hours: 7am-3:30pm (M-F); however, MUST be flexible to work overtime when needed

Pay Range: $80K - $90K (Depends on Experience)

Summary: This position is hands-on, responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget, resources, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems. In addition, this position is responsible for managing multiple shifts of mechanics. The selected candidate will be expected to conduct all job functions with a high degree of integrity and compliance while focusing on the safety of all our associates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance management by supervising and working with maintenance personnel and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.

• Effectively leads a team of maintenance employees with responsibility for 24 hr. maintenance coverage and support.

• Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget.

• Manages maintenance personnel by setting direction and priorities.

• Manage and maintain a CMMS system for work orders while building an effective preventative and predictive maintenance program.

• Developing and maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Develop associate and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one on one development sessions; outside technical skills training.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

• Works in conjunction with Production during all capital projects

• Proposes, plans, and installs necessary equipment to improve production efficiency and achieve cost reduction.

• Manage relationships with external contractors.

• Ensure maintenance procedures adhere to safety regulations.

• Maintains inventories of maintenance material, supplies and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions.

• Establish strong business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives.

• Responsible for creating and maintaining a “quick strike” response environment to ensure that production equipment breakdowns or failures are responded to with appropriate speed to ensure that downtime is minimized.

• Troubleshoots plant maintenance and safety issues.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred.

• 5+ years working in a supervisory role.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret schematics, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydro issues.

• Use of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Must be able to acquire company forklift license.

• Must regularly lift up to 50lbs unassisted and move up to 500lbs with mechanical assistance. Must be able to adapt to temperature changes. Close, distance, color and peripheral vision required.
