Maintenance Manager (Bilingual)

Location: Davie, Florida

The Maintenance Equipment Manager directly leads the maintenance programs, personnel, and operational processes of the assigned manufacturing plant to ensure zero-downtime production efficiency. This role bridges hands-on technical troubleshooting with high-level department management overseeing preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, capital equipment installations, safety compliance, and departmental budgeting.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, safety-first leader who utilizes data analysis to optimize machinery life cycles and possesses the bilingual communication skills necessary to manage a diverse, cross-functional workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Direct all daily maintenance procedures, plant diagnostics, and equipment repairs to ensure all machinery meets optimal working standards.

  • Continually assess asset management work processes, utilizing data analysis to predict system vulnerabilities and prevent future equipment failures.

  • Create and execute proactive measures to minimize asset breakdowns, implementing strict quality checks on all machinery, tools, and plant infrastructure.

  • Collaborate closely with plant leadership to coordinate seamless equipment integration, factory layout updates, and new machinery installations.

Team Management & Safety Culture

  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff, monitoring day-to-day performance, daily progress logs, and error reports.

  • Oversee onboarding and technical training for new employees regarding machinery cleaning protocols and specialized maintenance workflows.

  • Champion a zero-incident work environment by enforcing all company safety protocols alongside local, state, and federal industrial health regulations.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Formulate, track, and strictly adhere to the annualized maintenance department budgets.

  • Manage industrial vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and oversee the procurement of replacement parts and raw materials.

Job Specifications & Qualifications

Education & Language Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with and train all levels of plant staff.

Experience & Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a dedicated industrial maintenance management role.

  • Deep fundamental knowledge of industrial engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems .

  • Proven background in planning large-scale preventative maintenance operations and coordinating predictive maintenance schedules.

  • Strong team-building, problem-solving, and budget-tracking capabilities.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Primary work is performed directly on the active manufacturing/production floor. Regular exposure to standard industrial dust, ambient noise, and heavy equipment operation.

  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, and squat across a large facility footprint to inspect equipment. Must be capable of lifting and handling service loads up to 20 lbs.

  • Clear close-range and distance vision required for machine inspection; excellent verbal communication skills required to manage a fast-paced production floor safely.
