  • Maintenance Leadership & Team Management – Proven ability to lead, train, and develop maintenance teams.
  • Industrial Equipment & Systems Knowledge – Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, utilities, and facility systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance & CMMS Experience – Hands-on experience managing maintenance programs and reliability initiatives.
  • Manufacturing Safety & Continuous Improvement – Knowledge of OSHA standards, GMPs, Lean/TPM principles, and operational excellence practices.

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead and develop the site maintenance team while ensuring reliable operation of production equipment, utilities, and facility systems. This role will oversee preventive maintenance programs, drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage maintenance-related projects, and partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and Quality teams to improve safety, efficiency, and overall plant performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, a solid understanding of industrial equipment and systems, and the ability to build a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Job Duties: 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to support long-term growth, employee engagement, and technical advancement.
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance (PM), corrective repairs, production support requests, and equipment installations.
  • Manage equipment, utility, and service contracts while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, and Continuous Improvement teams to execute projects that enhance productivity, safety, and reliability.
  • Develop, track, and report maintenance performance metrics, including KPIs, cost savings initiatives, reliability improvements, and safety performance.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to manage maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment records, and reporting processes.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent technical experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive maintenance, engineering, or facilities experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing and developing maintenance teams in an industrial or production setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial systems, including electrical power, controls, HVAC, boilers, compressors, plumbing, welding, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and utilizing CMMS platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment or regulated industry preferred.
