Hiring Opportunity: Canton, Ohio

Our Client is looking to hire a Maintenance Manager for their location in Canton Ohio. Our client is a US leader in manufacturing aluminum extrusions!

The maintenance manager would be responsible for all of the building maintenance, including equipment preventative maintenance and repair, and custodial care.

Qualified candidates would have experience with overseeing a maintenance team, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, aluminum extrusion, and training maintenance technicians.



Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all maintenance and preventative maintenance programs, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Participate in equipment installation, commissioning and start-up.
- Manage all department staff, including selection and training.
- Evaluate equipment reliability and take appropriate actions to improve performance.
- RCA investigation experience where this process is used to eliminate recurring events. Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability
- Provide mechanical expertise when necessary to reduce equipment downtime.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records as needed to properly track and maintain equipment status.
- Identify technical problems and provide practical solutions appropriate to the size and complexity of projects.
- Communicate successfully with other members of the maintenance team and ensure individual department managers are informed on equipment availability.
- Perform hands-on maintenance work, when required.
- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
- Lead the focus on process and system continuous improvements.
- Facilitate team development through effective selection, orientation, training and development processes, including planning, appraisals and compensation administration.
- Complete documentation as required.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Cross-train, learn and support other functions or processes as required.

Job Requirements:

- In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and procedures, including pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
- Practical experience in electrical and electro-mechanical a plus.
- AB Control Logix PLC programming and troubleshooting experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems and safety procedures, including lean and 5 S"s.
- Honest and fiscally responsible
- Demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skills to assist the company in achieving its goals and growth.
- Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High attention to details with problem solving and analytical skills.
- Flexible to work overtime or change shifts as required, including being on call for emergencies.
- Education equivalent to a two year degree in maintenance mechanics or a related field.
- A minimum of five years" experience in industrial maintenance management in a manufacturing environment.
