SCOPE OF POSITION Manage the long-term and daily operations of the Maintenance Department in a fiscally responsible manner so there is minimum interruption of schedules. Support all SQF, AIB, GMP and product safety guidelines and procedures.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and assure safe work habits including compliance and improvements to company and departmental safety procedures and goals.
Assure that all equipment, parts, and personnel are available to efficiently complete each work order assignment with minimum downtime.
Review work orders for accuracy and completeness and then prioritize the needed work for proper resolution and coordination.
Review all completed work order information to assure that the solution was attained.
Ensure timely service to internal customers by maintaining work order backlog.
Provide technical advice to subordinates.
Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Coordinate training program to further the knowledge base of the maintenance workforce.
Provide contact with outside contractors when required for special project work or to supplement maintenance workforce.
Maintain all organizational procedures.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
Maintains M&R inventories, secures quotes and orders' accordingly.
Performs miscellaneous duties for projects and events as requested.
Assist in ensuring HACCP, GMP's Work Instructions, and safe quality food system requirements are in compliance.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains Employees activities in accordance with corporate policies and health and safety regulations. (Oversees that accident investigation are conducted thoroughly, completes 5 Why analysis as needed)
Responsible for the supervision of maintenance employeesincludes training, counseling, discipline etc. with proper approval.
Communicate work order information well in advance of scheduled work.
Reviews personnel problems and recommends and implements corrective action with proper approval.
Promotes continuous improvement through area teams and area personnel involvement.
Encourages all reporting personnel to be involved and suggest improvement ideas.
