Maintenance Manager - 1st Shift

As the Maintenance Manager, you'll play a key role in developing and executing maintenance strategies that keep our plant equipment, facilities, and production processes operating at peak performance. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a talented team, drive efficiency, and support a growing, fast-paced operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and enhance plant processing line layouts to support operational improvements, expansions, and modifications.
  • Ensure all safety and regulatory policies, including OSHA standards are upheld, fostering a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department, providing the tools, training, and resources necessary for success.
  • Lead and oversee Capital and Expense Budget projects, ensuring on-time, cost-effective completion.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with external contractors and vendors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Address daily operational challenges constructively while maintaining open communication with senior management.
  • Guide, motivate, and develop your team to foster collaboration and strong partnerships across departments.

Education:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical fields.

Required:

  • Minimum five years of management experience in manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and protein processing operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive self-starter who communicates effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Basic understanding of refrigeration principles and application.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with CAD software and PLC-type equipment
