Maintenance III
Reports To: Director of Facilities & Security
Department: Facilities Department

Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, including but not limited to:
o HVAC: Basic troubleshooting and minor repairs HVAC equipment (e.g., filter changes, belt adjustments, thermostat replacements, etc.)
o Electrical: Basic electrical repairs and maintenance (e.g., replacing light bulbs and fixtures, resetting breakers, troubleshooting minor power issues).
o Plumbing: Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance (e.g., clearing minor clogs, fixing leaks, replacing faucet washers).
o Food Service Equipment: Performing basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on food service equipment (e.g., cleaning, adjustments, replacing simple parts).
Safely operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools relevant to all assigned trades.
Conduct routine maintenance on a company vehicle and assigned tools.
Maintain an equipment inventory of regularly used items and supplies for emergency repairs.
Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
Participate in snow removal activities (plowing, shoveling, salting, etc.)
Clean and maintain all vehicles, equipment, and materials.
Serve as substitute bus driver for the corporation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities & Security.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Basic understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to various maintenance tasks.
Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to completing tasks effectively and efficiently.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics.
Ability to use technology to communicate and manage workload through CMMS software.
Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL class B license.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in a school environment is preferred.
First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling
Use of ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to work on plumbing systems in gymnasiums and auditoriums
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds or more
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
Must be able to see up close, at a distance, peripherals, and depth perception.
