    Maintenance Technician — Friendsview Life Plan Community

    Location: Newberg, OR
    Starting Wage: $24.09–$26.10/hour, depending on experience
    Employment Type: Full-time
    Training Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
    Regular Schedule: 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with some weekends required

    Friendsview Life Plan Community is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep our community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for our residents.

    What You'll Do

    •  Fix & Maintain: Tackle a variety of maintenance needs, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and basic electrical repairs.
    • Work as a Team: Partner with your supervisor and fellow technicians to complete work efficiently and keep the community running smoothly.
    • Use Your Tools: Operate, care for, and maintain tools and equipment so they're ready when you need them.
    • Put Safety First: Follow safety procedures and help create a safe environment for residents, visitors, and coworkers.
    • Manage Work Orders: Track maintenance requests, document completed work, and communicate job status with the team.
    • Help Others Learn: Assist with training and orienting new team members.
    • Support Community Events: Help with event setup and participate in safety drills and other community activities as needed.

    What You Bring

    • 2–4 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
    • Valid Driver License and acceptable driving record
    • Comfortable using hand and power tools and troubleshooting basic problems
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to pass a background check, DMV check, and drug test

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
    • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
    • Ability to perform the physical tasks associated with general building maintenance
