    A Brief Overview

    The Maintenance & Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations for fleet, component equipment, facilities, and grounds to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance across multiple locations. This role leads maintenance teams, manages equipment lifecycle and inventory utilization, and drives compliance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    What you will do

    • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs for fleet, component equipment, facilities, and grounds.
    • Procure, maintain, and troubleshoot component equipment and associated software to ensure operational reliability.
    • Oversee and develop all maintenance, mechanical, and facilities personnel within designated locations.
    • Prioritize repairs, inspections, and service schedules to minimize downtime and support business operations.
    • Maximize material usage in alignment with inventory management objectives.
    • Manage maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, inventory, and documentation.
    • Train employees and ensure required certifications and technical competencies are maintained.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, DOT, and environmental regulations.
    • Promote and support safety initiatives and continuous improvement (CI) efforts.
    • Partner with leadership on equipment planning, repairs, replacements, and operational improvements.

    Education Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

    Experience Qualifications
    • 5 years of maintenance experience, including leadership responsibility.

    Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and facility systems
    • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and general maintenance principles
    • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, and maintenance records
    • Ability to support warehouse and maintenance equipment operations; overtime as needed

    Licenses and Certifications
    • Valid driver’s license preferred
    • CDL and/or OSHA certifications preferred based on business need
