Maintenance Engineer- Plant Maintenance

We are currently searching for a full-time Maintenance Engineer to oversee daily production operations focusing on maintenance and safety. Opportunity to expand into other areas of responsibility if qualified.

Schedule:
- The plant is a 24 hour/day operation x 6 days/week
- 8-hour shift
- 12pm-8pm; exact schedule can be negotiated
- Weekends as needed
Qualifications:
- Associates degree from college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience in manufacturing
- Maintenance experience and mechanical knowledge is required
- Experience with furnace controls is preferred
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office)
- Experienced Military candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience with PLC’s and electrical systems is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Supports all aspects of maintaining operations for the plant to produce cost-effective, timely and high-quality products
- Manage and perform plant maintenance and safety programs. Primary responsibility is to maintain industrial electric furnaces and supporting machines
- Design and help install new equipment as needed
- Monitor operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met/followed
- Plant utilizes equipment designed in-house. Four furnaces on site as well as various machines for assembly of steel components
- Perform all other duties assigned
