Position Summary: The Maintenance Engineer will work alongside equipment suppliers during installation and commissioning to gain a thorough understanding of machinery structure, operating logic, and maintenance needs. Post-handover, this role transitions to a key in-house team member responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, uptime optimization, and continuous improvement of automated equipment in a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility. Language Requirements:
Required: Spoken Mandarin fluency and basic English communication skills to liaise with Mandarin-speaking equipment suppliers and technical engineers during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training.
Preferred: English fluency is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Installation & Commissioning Support
Assist vendors and integrators with production line assembly, wiring, startup, and commissioning.
Verify utility interfaces, electrical connections, grounding, labeling, sensors, and safety interlocks prior to energization.
Support FAT/SAT activities, punch list tracking, and issue resolution during ramp-up.
Ensure all equipment handovers include full operational documentation and verified operational condition.
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform daily inspections, predictive/preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on production machinery.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system faults.
Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Replace defective components, including motors, sensors, drives, relays, valves, and actuators.
