Maintenance Electrical Journeyman 1
Sylvamo's Ticonderoga, NY Mill is located on the shores of Lake Champlain. In operation since 1971, the mill produces high-end printing and technical papers harvested from Adirondack and Vermont forests. We employ over 600 dedicated employees focused on safety, environment, quality and production.This is a journeyman-level electrician position responsible to complete scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance and break-in electrical work along with performing many other duties both as part of a team and independently. Duties for electricians include, but are not limited to, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining 480v through 13.8kv electrical systems, 480v and 2300v motor controls and associated control equipment including relay logic and PLC systems.Hourly pay rate is $37.01 as of June 1, 2026.Requirements:
Minimum High School graduate or GED equivalent4 years of electrical apprentice or helper and obtained qualified electrician statusIndustrial technology degreeCertificate from accredited college or trade schoolWilling and capable of working all shifts
Experience (Desired Skills):
Desire to work in manufacturing settingElectronics experienceHigh-voltage and power distributionAC motors and drives, DC motors and drivesControl systems experience: DCS, PLC's, PC's and analytical equipmentKnowledge of electrical schematicsHighly motivated, results-driven individual who can also perform well in a team settingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
